Side tables are used in many rooms. Different heights are advantageous for different purposes. A height of approx. 60 cm is suitable as a small side table nestled between sofas or fitted in a corner, so you can easily reach over the armrest of the couch to access the things on your table. It is just as suitable as a coffee table that stands in front of the sofa. Coffee tables are usually no higher than 60 cm. Many models are even shorter, and are only 40 to 50 cm tall. When designing your side table, make sure that it is lower than the seat of the sofa. This allows you to comfortably reach stored objects, such as the remote control, a book or snacks. But the living room isn’t the only place for a side table! It is just as practical and decorative in the dining room. It is an extraordinary alternative to the traditional kitchen shelves and sideboards. This is particularly suitable if you only have a small dining table on which there is not much space left for pots and bowls. You should make sure to choose a model that is taller than 60 cm. After all, everyone should get to the food effortlessly and without having to bend down too much. A side table can also be used in the bedroom. It can replace the conventional bedside shelf and offers you enough space to put a lamp, an alarm clock and a book on it. The same applies to the height as to the coffee table: It should not be significantly higher than the bed surface.
Many styles and different materials are available for our side tables. You will find particularly modern side tables in our SYDE collection. The SYDE side tables are characterized by their reduction to clear lines and geometric shapes. The basic structure is a filigree frame made of stainless steel. The collection achieves an almost weightless look, as the table top does not lie directly on the frame. The table tops are available in different marble variants and made of polished or frosted glass. A table top made from one of our multiple colourful synthetic finishes is also possible. The delicate frame is available in brushed, polished stainless steel, in matte gold or in stylish colours such as terracotta. With the ECLYPSE models you will also find variants that are made with real wood veneers. They are inspired by the modern Scandinavian design, which is highlighted in the elegant, round table legs. No matter whether you choose oak, walnut or beech veneer, a round side table or an oval model: Your side table design will be unique. The characteristic grain of each wood tone adds a special flair. Beech is characterized by its light colouring and rather delicate grain. A side table in oak has always been an absolute classic due to its friendly colour and the expressive structure of the grain. Thanks to its high-contrast, strongly iridescent grain, walnut wood is almost indispensable for modern interior design. But not only are they aesthetically pleasing, our wooden coffee tables : Even after applying the varnish, the structure of the wood remains tangible and ensures a unique haptic experience. Regardless of whether your style is reserved and elegant or eye-catching and colourful - with us you will find a side table that exactly suits your taste.
