Our coffee tables are available in a variety of heights to best suit your needs. They’re a living room staple – the perfect place to stash tv remotes, magazines, snacks and drinks. A good tip for choosing the perfect coffee table height is to make sure it’s lower than the seat height of your sofa. Coffee tables are usually no higher than 60cm, so a table between 40 and 50cm should work well with most sofas.
But why limit yourself to the living room? Coffee tables also work really well in dining rooms as a sleek alternative to a sideboard or dresser, and offer an extra display surface. A taller oak side table, for example, is a practical addition for those who don’t have enough space for pots and pans on their small dining table. Our coffee tables are also an elegant alternative to the classic bedside table. So you can keep your lamp, alarm clock, books or glasses within arm’s reach on one of our sleek, elegant side tables, all without compromising on your bedroom's carefully curated design.
Our tables are available in a wide range of materials and styles. Some of our models, such as our ECLYPSE tables epitomise Scandinavian design and are made entirely of wood, or real wood veneer. The three round table legs on our ECLYPSE tables are made of solid wood, while the tabletop is made of veneered MDF. The legs fit flush into the tabletop and are very easy to assemble. Meanwhile, the tabletop itself boasts smoothly bevelled edges and a softly rounded shape. Similarly, the natural tones of our wooden coffee tables add warmth to your room, creating a cosy, inviting atmosphere. The understated design harmonises particularly well with other furniture, too – a walnut coffee table is the perfect accompaniment to a rich, jewel-toned sofa, for example.
Meanwhile, our SYDE coffee and side tables are characterised by clean, timeless forms and pared-back design. Combined with the table’s delicate steel frame, the tabletop seems to float effortlessly. The overall effect is one of balanced lightness, of sleek elegance. SYDE tabletops are available in four different types of marble, as well as clear or frosted glass, or a choice of 18 colours. Take a look at our MAGAZYNE for a closer look at the types of marble side table we offer. The delicate table frame comes in a choice of either brushed or polished stainless steel, or you can add a pop of colour, perhaps with a marine blue or burgundy red frame. You can choose from a total of 18 environmentally-friendly coloured lacquers for your modern coffee table.
Marble and wood are both natural materials which require particular maintenance and care. Although wood is a robust material, it still requires some upkeep to keep it looking its best. Use a dry cloth to remove dust, or a soft, slightly damp cloth soaked in water with a small amount of dish soap to clean up any marks. Be sure to wipe over the surface with a dry towel after cleaning to remove any remaining moisture. Avoid using any aggressive, abrasive cleaning products on the surface. Wooden coffee tables should also be re-oiled approximately every three to four months. For this, you can either use standard wood oil or a hard wax oil specially formulated for wooden surfaces.
By contrast, marble is perhaps the more sensitive of the two materials. Should you spill any liquids on your coffee table, be sure to clean it up as soon as possible using a clean, damp cloth. For marks and stains that are harder to remove, please use a pH-neutral soap; acidic or alkaline products can damage the surface of the marble.
